Luca's research focuses on the relationship between cancers and physiological but not homeostatic processes like tissue regeneration and wound healing, with a particular emphasis on epithelial-stroma-immune cell interactions. Furthermore, in a collaborative project Luca aims at better defining these processes at the genomic level by integrative analysis of transcriptional regulation and the 3D genome architecture.
