One non-clinical PhD studentship is available for non-clinical applicants through the International Alliance for Cancer Early Detection (ACED).
Students will apply for the studentship, stating their preferred project from the list below and, if successful, will start in October 2021 (please note this PhD studentship does not include an MRes rotation year). Click on the project titles for full project outlines.

How to apply
Applicants should apply for a PhD in Oncology. Applicants may state their preferred project of interest, from the three listed above, if they so wish, and this should be clearly stated as part of the Personal Statement.
The deadline for applications is 13th November 2020.
You do NOT need to apply for Gates or other funding with your application.
The CRUK Cambridge Centre PhD studentships include full funding from Cancer Research UK to cover the University Composition Fee (at Home (UK) rate), a travel and consumables budget, and a generous stipend, which is currently £19,000 per annum.

Interview and selection process
Applicants will be informed of the outcome of their application via email by late December 2020.
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend a day of interviews at the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute on w/b 11th January 2021. If these interviews are held in person, reasonable travel costs and one night's stay in a hotel will be reimbursed with prior authorisation.
You will be interviewed by the Training Programme Directors and a panel of Principal Investigators from the CRUK Cambridge Centre.
Following your interview you will be informed of the outcome via email.
