Let's talk about being a researcher with a long-term condition

Please join our online seminar aimed at researchers and anyone with an interest in the topic on Monday 4 March, 12:00-13:00.

Conducting research should be accessible to all, yet for those with a long-term condition there are still a number of barriers to overcome and a stigma to break.

During this Let’s talk about... seminar Dr Hamied Haroon, a research associate at the University of Manchester and Chair of the National Association of Disabled Staff Networks shares his experience and addresses the challenges of conducting cancer research for individuals who experience or identify with having a ‘long-term condition’, such as a disability, chronic illness, mental health condition, or being neurodivergent.

Dr Haroon’s webinar will be followed by a panel discussion which will look at how to create a more inclusive research environment, free from ableism, that enable ALL researchers to achieve their potential.

The online seminar is free to attend and aimed at researchers and anyone with an interest in the topic.
