Cambridge Cancer Centre Symposium

The 7th Symposium will take place at the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute on Friday 22 November.

It is an opportunity for Cambridge-based researchers and clinicians, and biotechnology companies to network and initiate collaborations.

The day will consist of talks from invited speakers, the Keynote Lecture and a poster session. Bruce Ponder (Cambridge Cancer Centre and Department of Oncology) will give the Keynote Lecture in the place of Michael Neuberger (MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology).  Michael was very much looking forward to giving the Keynote Lecture, but has very tragically passed away: http://www2.mrc-lmb.cam.ac.uk/michael-neuberger-1953-2013/ His loss is a major blow to all that knew him, and to science in general.

Invited talks during the day will be presented by:

  • Shankar Balasubramanian – Department of Chemistry and CRUK Cambridge Institute
  • Mariann Bienz – MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology
  • Tom Blundell – Department of Biochemistry
  • Simon Buczacki – CRUK Cambridge Institute
  • Charlotte Coles – Oncology, Addenbrooke’s Hospital
