Pancreatic Cancer Programme and Early Cancer Institute to host a joint seminar on Thur 22 Sept

Pancreatic cancer remains a cancer of high unmet need and is a priority for the CRUK Cambridge Centre. We are very pleased to be hosting a seminar with the Early Cancer Institute and Pancreatic Cancer Programme on Thursday, 22nd September from 4.00-6.30pm in the CRUK Cambridge Institute Lecture Theatre.

The seminar brings together experts in the fields of early cancer detection and pancreatic cancer to find out about the current state-of-play and what progress can be made together.

In addition, representatives from two charities (Cancer Research UK and Pancreatic Cancer UK) will speak about opportunities within their organisations.

Speakers:
We are delighted to welcome Professor Eithne Costello to give a keynote talk about her work on detecting pancreatic cancer earlier. Eithne is Professor of Molecular Oncology at the Institute of Systems, Molecular and Integrative Biology based at The University of Liverpool. She leads the CRUK-funded UK-Early Detection Initiative for pancreatic cancer, established to detect pancreatic cancer earlier in individuals with new-onset diabetes mellitus. She also chairs the European Study Group for Pancreatic Cancer (ESPAC) translational steering committee.
