Dr Li Tee Tan is the clinical director for radiotherapy at Addenbrooke?s Hospital. She qualified in medicine from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School in London. She began her clinical oncology training at the Royal Free Hospital, followed by a period at St. Bartholomew?s Hospital, before moving to the Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology where she completed a postgraduate degree in cervix cancer brachytherapy. She has a special interest in image-guided brachytherapy for cervix cancer having implemented the CT-based technique at Addenbrooke's in 2005 and the MRI-based technique in 2009. She chaired a working party for the Royal College of Radiologists to facilitate implementation of image-guided brachytherapy for cervix cancer in the UK in 2008 and has conducted workshops to help other centres implement the technique. She is the Clinical Lead for Radiotherap-e, the Department of Health e-learning programme for Advanced Radiotherapy Techniques. She was an examiner for the Final FRCR Examination in Clinical Oncology from 2004 to 2009 and has had a key role in restructuring the examination.
