When: Friday 28 June, 12:00–13:00
Where: online via Zoom

Conducting research should be accessible to all, yet for those with a long-term condition there are still a number of barriers to overcome and a stigma to break.

Prof Rachel Cowen is University of Manchester's lead for EDI with a responsibility for Gender and Sexual Orientation. Her work in academic development focuses on how to address structural inequities in HEI systems to ensure that the next generation of researchers is more representative of the society in which we belong.

Rachel will explore the history of women in academic positions, demonstrating how her work aims to build inclusive practice, train and develop leaders, and embed the University's overall commitment to Athena Swan, tackling barriers to access, progression and attainment.

This free webinar is open to all researchers, you do not need to be based at a CRUK Centre.
