NAHP Programme: Professional Development Talks

Non-medical staff members engaged in cancer care and cancer research delivery are invited to attend this event on Wednesday 13 September, 10:00–12:30, at the William Harvey Lecture Theatre, School of Clinical Medicine, Cambridge CB2 0QQ

The Professional Development event, hosted by our Nursing and Allied Health Professional (NAHP) Programme, is designed to provide valuable insights and information for non-medical staff members engaged in cancer care and cancer research delivery.

The event aims to foster career advancement, promote NMAHP research, and look into the ACCEND framework and how it would look in cancer research delivery.

This event is open to all non-medical staff members of different band levels to encourage and inform on unique opportunities in professional development.

We have four esteemed speakers who will cover different topic areas including:

  • Professor Christi Deaton, Professor of Nursing, University of Cambridge School of Clinical Medicine and Cambridge University Hospitals (for NMAHP-led research: why and how?)
  • Dr Catherine Gooday, Nursing, Midwifery, and AHP Research Lead of NIHR, Clinical Research Network East of England (for Leadership)
  • Dr Fiona Maxton, Research Lead, Nursing Directorate at NHS England, and linked to ARU and University of Nottingham (for Leadership)
  • Amparo Domingo-Lacasa, Cancer Research UK (CRUK) Senior Research Nurse (University College London Hospitals) (for ACCEND Framework in Cancer Research)
