The Ceremony took place on the 30 June at the Science Gallery London following the announcement of the new Centres of Excellence for brain cancer care in May.
The eight newly designated Tessa Jowell Centres of Excellence were celebrated, including the East of England region, comprising Cambridge University Hospitals, Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals and Ipswich Hospital.
The East of England team were recognised for their:
- Commitment to equality of access for patients across the region, with all three teams working closely together to ensure excellence in treatment and care
- Impressive efforts by CUH to further improve rehabilitation services
- Outstanding palliative care services at NNUH
- Innovative research through the Minderoo Precision Brain Tumour Programme
