Research description

I work on the development of new technologies for the spatial and temporal control of biological events in vivo. Specifically, I am using photochemically caged ligands and self-ligating tag proteins to 1) Label biomolecules in specific areas of living cells for purification and high-throughput analysis, 2) Induce protein-protein dimerization in a spatially and temporally restricted way through one-photon and two-photon illumination, 3) Develop light-targetable genetic vectors.
