Dr James Rudd
Dr James Rudd is pleased to consider applications from prospective PhD students.
My research interests are primarily in atherosclerosis, but also cross into cancer biology. My focus is detection of inflammation within arteries as a predictor of plaque rupture and clinical events. Additionally, I use non-invasive imaging methods such as PET, MRI and CT to test novel anti-inflammatory drugs. I also perform evaluations of PET tracers that can measure vascular hypoxia and calcification in subjects with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease.
